Supply Chain Management Custom Solutions

Inbound Tracking

The inbound material tracking solution processes inbound advanced shipping notices (ASNs) automatically.

  • When orders are placed with the supplier, a calculated ship date & time is created to check for late shipments.
  • When ASNs are received from the supplier, estimated time of arrival is calculated using the defined transportation tables.
  • Suppliers can update the estimated time of arrival before ASNs are sent.
  • Status of each unique tracking ID is maintained (Firm, Open, Dispatched, In Transit, In Yard, Delivered, Closed).

Supply Schedule Alerts and Analysis

The supply schedule analysis tool graphs and checks for shortages with an accuracy down to the minute. This is a significant improvement over daily planning systems leading to a reduction and/or elimination of inbound warehouses. A supply schedule is the result of an MRP run. This solution allows a complete MRP to run multiple times in an hour. Each time the run performs a complete regeneration of requirements utilizing continuously updated production schedules and in-bound shipment statuses and new estimated time of arrival calculations.

  • Shortage alerts identify when items will drop below a minimum float value. This is an advance warning and will show run-out times. This allows for quick alternate route planning and can lower expedited transportation costs.
  • The tool can also be used to see and calculate the inventory storage space required in the future. Analysis can be done to calculate the benefits of multiple deliveries per day.
  • The data can be viewed over the web, downloaded to excel or saved in other data formats.

Broadcast for Sequenced Deliveries

Broadcast codes can be maintained along with part numbers to simplify the decision making process for product workers. These broadcast codes can be sent to suppliers or printed on the local production lines to provide work instructions and synchronize operations.

Broadcast signals and messages can be processed to coordinate sequenced deliveries. This provides items and assemblies in the order that are required on the assembly line. An EDI/Broadcast file is created to provide information about what to build, in what sequence, how to pack it, and the label required.
