Process Modeling
Processes describe a sequence of tasks and other sub processes. A process can contain multiple branching paths based on decisions
made during the process execution. Process
models can be thought of as the blueprints of a business.
Process maps show the hierarchy of processes similar to a table of contents. Maps are used to describe activities and to organize data inside a company.
The high level process map shown below can be used to begin the modeling of any company.
The exchange of information to the right of the model is with customers. The exchange of data to the left of the model is with suppliers. |
