We help people make real money. Real money as the kind
you can take to the bank -- as opposed to the imaginary
gains produced by so many improvement initiatives. Many
times changes are not reflected in the profit and loss
statement.
At Chesapeake we are passionately focused on helping our
clients reap real bottom-line benefits. We do that by
concentrating changes at the few leverage points in their
organization that make a difference in productivity and
profits. |

Q MARK, located in Birmingham,
Alabama, was founded in early 1998 by Kirstin
Huettner-Tong, based on the principles of her iterative
approach to supply chain design. She developed this
approach during her doctoral research at the University of
Alabama as part of a project to design the inbound supply
chain for a new automobile plant in the area. Since its
founding, QMARK has provided supply chain engineering work
primarily to the automotive industry. In recent years our
supply chain work led us to smaller manufactures who are
facing the same market pressures as large automotive OEMs
but whose operations are not set up to cope with the
constantly changing demand and high (low/) cost pressures.
Newer manufacturing philosophies such as JIT,TQM and TOC
adopted by large companies have not filtered down to
smaller manufacturers. QMark is bringing these bold
manufacturing philosophies to smaller manufacturers via an
affordable, cost-effective service.
